Changing public transport ticket system in Stockholm

The zones that once surrounded Stockholm disappear tomorrow (Monday 9th January 2017) when the public transport system gets a ticket and pricing overhaul. One fixed fare for each type of ticket will now be the case - making it more expensive on short journeys (an increase for the first time since 2011) and better value for those commuting in.

Single tickets

Apply for journeys where you have started the last part of the journey with 75 minutes of the start. 

• Using an Access card: 30 kronor for adults, 20 kronor for seniors, students, young people
• Buying via mobile phone, in an machine, at the counter: 43 kronor for adults, 29 kronor for seniors, students, young people
  
• Buying from a condutor: 60 kronor for adults, 40 kronor for seniors, students, young people

Single tickets to/from Arlanda

• Train plus tube/bus: 150 kronor for adults, 140 kronor for seniors, students, young people
  
• Just the Arlanda train journey (if you already have an SL-ticket): 120 kronor for adults, 120 kronor for seniors, students, young people over 18. Under 18s travel free.
